This single master socket is easy to install...normally only two wires are required...one to pin 2 and the other to pin 5. Sockets 3/2A are not supplied with the back box but this can be ordered separately for an additional £0.93.  Often used to connect a standard 2-wire phone to a traditional analogue port on a phone system.  It is referred to as 'master' because it includes a ringing capacitor, whereas a secondary phone connection box doesn't.  This device is sometimes referred to as a phone connection box, phone socket, or line jack unit.
